Fix East Devon's Railway
For the second year running, rail services on the West of England line through East Devon have been reduced to a two-hourly timetable to Exeter and London.
Last year, this disruption went on for months - and after a record-setting dry summer there's no end in sight this year either.
This cannot become the new normal.
With bus services limited and slow and our region's roads already suffering from traffic at peak times, there is no alternative to the railway for many local people - particularly students and commuters.
That's why we're calling on the government to step up and fix East Devon's railway.
We are calling for:
- More 'fill-in' bus replacement services to reduce timetable gaps
- Urgent investment by government to end annual timetable cuts
- Funding to deliver long-promised half-hourly services to Exeter
